1989 animation festival held in Portugal called Cinanima89..it boasted animations ” from Australia to the USSR, Iran or the USA”.. an International festival. I didn’t realise my film ‘Mum’s Friend’ was competing with this one, from Georges Swchwizgebel called Le Sujet du tableau:
Heath Robinson’s drawings of contraptions filled many a childhood with enjoyment, tracing each wire, cog and pully to its logical conclusion.
