Uncovered my old family copy, over 100 years old, tattered with pages still between the covers, fingered by 5 generations, moving on to the sixth.
I still get a shiver, just thinking of the fate of Johnny Head-in-Air, and Dreadful Harriet who played with matches, and Cruel Fredrick just to name a few. So moral and innocent, so harsh, so uncompromising.
